What is a Flex Day?

At SACS, our mission to prepare today’s learners for tomorrow’s opportunities includes teachers, too. During a Flex Day, teachers will use the morning to engage in professional development. This is a form of education for teachers designed to guide and enhance teaching strategies, techniques and tips, as well as to provide all teachers collaboration time with other educators to improve their own teaching or classroom environment. Following professional development on a Flex Day, teachers are available in the afternoon to answer students’ questions via Canvas messaging.

All elementary students will have the opportunity to participate in SACS’ upcoming Flex Days beginning in September. The 2021-2022 Flex Days are scheduled as follows:

•  Tuesday, September 21, 2021
•  Wednesday, November 3, 2021
•  Friday, March 11, 2022
